For over 30 years, Knickerbocker Group has served clients from their 11-acre campus in Boothbay, Maine… building a reputation for creating homes distinct for their architectural style and quality construction, with custom cabinetry and millwork that exemplify Maine craftsmanship.
In October 2011, the architecture and construction management firm opened new office doors at 1 Pleasant Street in Portland. “We are very excited to have a presence in Southern Maine,” said Stephen. “Our Portland location will make it easier for clients to reach us and will open new doors with a broader base of craftsmen and subcontractors from all over the state of Maine.”
Some aspects of the group remain only in Boothbay, including the on-site cabinet shop and the indoor/outdoor showrooms. The kitchen showroom, designed by Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer Elaine Murdoch, offers inspiring options for custom cabinets in traditional and modern styles and a variety of sustainable materials, products and finish choices. Their outdoor showroom, complete with stone sitting walls around an open-air fireplace and Viking outdoor kitchen, is complemented with hand-made furniture and sculpture crafted by Maine artisans.
