The IRS has temporarily suspended e-filing for individuals, businesses and fiduciaries. Therefore, we will be required to paper file any returns through January. If you receive your paper copy of a return and have any questions please do not hesitate to call the office for assistance.

In an IRS Quick Alert notification, the Internal Revenue Service announced that individual electronic filing will be taken offline and become unavailable beginning Saturday, November 21st, 2015 to perform maintenance required to ready IRS systems to prepare for the 2015 filing season. Businesses and fiduciary returns will be taken offline December 26th through January.

IRS electronic filing for individual income tax is expected to remain unavailable until middle to late January 2016 at which time IRS individual electronic filing opens for the 2016 filing season.  With the reopening of individual electronic filing in January 2016, you may resume electronic filing of tax years 2013 and forward.  A future IRS announcement will identify the date when individual electronic filing will open in 2016.
